Maserati Khamsin

Maserati Khamsin was the last car to be built under Citroen's ownership, and a successor to the timeless Maserati Ghibli. While the Ghibli was a curvy beauty of the 1960s, the Khamsin went for the then-trending wedge affair that was gaining quite the momentum. The roots of Khamsin go back to the Tipo Am120 prototype that was unveiled at the Turin Motor Show in November 1972.

The concept was a hit, and Maserati soon made a production of it. The Khamsin was a whole different car compared to its predecessor, but Maserati stuck to the front-engined RWD layout that made for a fine GT car. While most of its underpinnings were carried over from the Ghibli, the addition of Citroen's clever hydraulic parts, and Bertone's design language; made the Khamsin quite a special car.
